Dr. Kathleen L. Fauth
Dr. Fauth received her DVM from Michigan State University. She is board certified as a Diplomate of American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, Companion Animal. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and engages in both medical and surgical practice. Her husband, George, is also a veterinarian and works in the veterinary pharmaceutical field.
She has three adult children: Wade, who manages a deli in Portland, Oregon; Riley, who is a teacher in Chicago's inner city; and McKenzie, who is a physical therapy student at Marquette University.
She has three dogs, two English Bulldogs, Logan & Jordan; and a toy poodle, Pepita.
She loves cats as well but has none as pets because of family allergies.
Dr. Fauth enjoys hiking and backpacking. She utilizes the Forest Preserve, which she refers to as the pretend wilderness, for local activities. She particularly loves hiking in the Southwest with the Grand Canyon being an all time favorite. Her hiking has taken her as far as Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
She is quite involved with her church and works extensively with Foods Resource Bank, which is an American based organization that sponsors projects in other countries to help people achieve food sustainability.
Dr. James T. Pass
Dr. Pass graduated from Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. His veterinary career began at Boone Animal Hospital, where he worked from 1976-1981. After a brief hiatus, during which he received his certification from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in 1984, he returned to Boone in 1987 and has been here since then.
He enjoys working with all breeds of dogs and cats. His all time favorites were a Yellow Lab, named Jack and a black short hair cat, Buddy.
When Dr. Pass is away from the office, he likes to read, fish, and play golf.
Dr. Yvonne Costa
Dr. Yvonne Costa is a 1987 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. As an exclusive small animal Doctor, she has been practicing at Boone Animal Hospital for the past 6 years.
Dr. Costa enjoys the outdoors by biking, skiing, and walking her adopted dog, Ginger. Her indoor activities find her playing the guitar and sitting down with a good book. She loves to exercise!
In addition to Ginger, Dr. Costa's family includes her husband, two children and a Guinea Pig named Stripes.
Dr. Clare Walker
Dr. Clare Walker grew up in the Chicago area and has wanted to be an animal doctor since she was eight years old. She attended Veterinary School at the University of Illinois and completed her training in 1991.
After a ten-year stint in California, she returned to Illinois to enjoy the four season climate and be near her extended family.
Dr. Walker has three children, and a rescue cat named Eileen.
Dr. Andrea G. Hayes, Animal Surgical Services
Dr. Andrea Hayes received her Veterinary Medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania. She did her surgical residency at Angel Memorial Animal Hospital and Tufts in Massachussetts. Dr. Hayes achieved her dream of Board Certification in Veterinary Surgery in 1997.
When not attending to her many patients at Boone Animal Hospital, Dr. Hayes spends quality time with her son and his extracurricular activities such as sports and music. Dr. Hayes is an avid gardener and loves being outdoors.
She also enjoys spending time with her four legged family, as well. ( 2 dogs; 1 cat; and 2 rats.)
